With this painting, I first used modelling clay to create the lotus and painted it gold, then used gold leaf to enhance it. the background was painted with a dark greenish blue with green sides as a frame. I sealed the modelling clay with varnish and then sealed the rest of the surface with dragonfly glaze infused resin. This gave it additional sparkle.
